Di tengah pembatasan sosial yang tengah digencarkan, Jemala memutuskan untuk merilis EP perdana, “St. Germain EP”, ke semua digital streaming platform, dengan harapan yang sederhana: bahwa lagu-lagu dari EP ini bisa menemani siapapun dalam menjalani hari-hari yang sedang menantang ini.

‘St. Germain EP’ berisikan empat lagu, di mana dua di antaranya belum pernah dirilis di manapun. Dua lagu baru itu berjudul ‘North’ dan ‘St.Germain’.

‘North’ bercerita tentang ketetapan hati setelah melewati berbagai bentuk perjuangan tanpa hasil, dan keinginan untuk terus bersabar hingga menemukan titik terang. Seperti sebuah kelanjutan, ‘St.Germain’ bercerita tentang penerimaan akan masa lalu yang tidak semuanya terjadi sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan, dan usaha untuk tetap berjuang menjadi lebih baik meskipun memori buruk itu selalu melekat.

Dua lagu lain dari EP ini sudah pernah dirilis sebelumnya, yaitu ’Lula’ dan ‘Tentang Renung & Tabur’

EP ini pernah dirilis dalam format rilisan fisik CD, melalui Record Store Day Drops 2021 yang diselenggarakan oleh Record Store Day Indonesia di pertengahan bulan Juni kemarin.
