Jemala is a Jakarta, Indonesia based music project initiated by Anak Utara (Riady's music moniker) and Theo Cahya. Jemala means 'head' in bahasa Indonesia. The idea behind the name stems from a simple wish: A wish to document and translate all of the musical ideas constructed inside their heads, into something that hopefully be able to please other people's head too.
